Known for their ambitious off-road builds, Apocalypse is claiming a first by creating the inaugural 6x6 conversion of the modern Defender, designed to rival the renowned Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6x6. That legendary Mercedes model, which ceased production about a decade ago, has since become a coveted collectible, and Apocalypse aims to capture that same aura with their Defender 6x6.
A Powerhouse with Unique Engineering
The World Ender retains many of the iconic elements of the stock Defender while adding custom features that enhance its performance and visual appeal. One of the standout changes is the addition of a 4-foot pickup bed, while still keeping the Defender’s third-row seating intact. The two rear axles are mounted on a tubular subframe, allowing the rearmost axle to be disengaged from the drivetrain for better fuel efficiency a valuable feature for a massive vehicle like this.
Under the hood, the World Ender houses the same supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine as the standard Defender, pushing out 518 horsepower. While it may not be a fuel-sipping machine, this engine ensures the World Ender has the power to dominate on and off the road.
Off-Road Dominance
Built for both luxury and rugged adventure, the World Ender features an adjustable air suspension that can raise or lower the vehicle's height by up to 8 inches. The custom suspension lift, combined with bold fender flares that widen the Defender by 2 feet, creates space for 38-inch off-road tires mounted on 20-inch wheels. To further equip this Defender for any terrain, Apocalypse has added a roll cage over the pickup bed, a robust push bar, side steps, and a roof rack giving it both the aggressive look and capability expected of a 6x6 behemoth.
Pricing and Availability
Apocalypse Manufacturing is currently accepting orders for the World Ender, with pricing starting at $374,999. This price tag positions it well above Apocalypse’s previous 6x6 release, the Ram 1500 TRX-based Juggernaut, which debuted in 2022 at $297,999.
For Land Rover enthusiasts who prefer to stick with four wheels, there's also the upcoming 2025 Defender Octa. This factory-built off-road performance model is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8, paired with a mild-hybrid system, generating an impressive 626 horsepower.
The Apocalypse World Ender Land Rover Defender brings extreme off-roading to the luxury market with its bold design, powerful engine, and unique 6x6 configuration. As one of the few companies to offer a 6-wheeled Defender, Apocalypse Manufacturing continues to push boundaries and set new standards for performance SUVs. With its eye-catching modifications and robust capabilities, the World Ender is sure to make a lasting impact both on the trail and in automotive history.
