The company intends to convert former military Humvees, famously known as the original civilian Hummer H1, into powerful electric vehicles dubbed the Cyber-Hummer.

NAEV's flagship model, the Executive Edition, will feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain, boasting an impressive 1,000 horsepower and 1,000 lb-ft of torque. This setup will enable the Cyber-Hummer to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a remarkable 2.5 seconds. The vehicle will be equipped with a 75-kWh battery pack, providing an estimated range of up to 300 miles. NAEV plans to support both CCS and NACS fast-charging standards, ensuring versatility and convenience for owners.

The company sources its Humvees from surplus auctions and utilizes secondhand Tesla components for the conversion. The transformation involves removing all internal combustion engine-related components, such as the transmission, fuel system, exhaust system, transfer case, geared hubs, and original cast-iron suspension components. This extensive modification reduces the vehicle's curb weight to an estimated 4,500 pounds, significantly lighter than the factory-built Hummer H1 and nearly half the weight of a new GMC Hummer EV. As a result, the Cyber-Hummer can be registered as a Class 1 vehicle for on-road use, though it may not offer the same luxury as the GMC Hummer EV.

NAEV enhances the Cyber-Hummer with a "hybrid" independent suspension system, incorporating new in-house components and parts sourced from Tesla. This setup provides an impressive 15 inches of ground clearance, and the Executive Edition will come with all-terrain tires mounted on 20-inch alloy wheels, ensuring superior off-road capabilities.

The Executive Edition Cyber-Hummer is priced at $139,900. NAEV also plans to offer two additional versions: the Baja, priced at $98,900, and the Commander, priced at $119,900. Customers can expect a build time of approximately six months after placing an order, with NAEV aiming to produce 328 vehicles annually.

With its innovative approach and use of Tesla components, NAEV's Cyber-Hummer promises to be a game-changer in the electric vehicle market, offering a unique blend of military ruggedness and cutting-edge electric performance.
