Shortly after the latest version of the BMW M2 (G87) was released last summer, the tuning experts at dAHLer Competition Line introduced an initial upgrade package for this dynamic coupé.

Now, based in Belp, near Bern in Switzerland, Christoph Dähler and his team have launched an even more impressive suite of upgrades for the M2, enhancing its power and aesthetics.

Performance Boost: Stage 2 Upgrades

dAHLer stage 2 performance upgrades elevate the twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine from a factory-set 460 hp and 550 Nm to a remarkable 630 hp and 750 Nm. This increase in power is facilitated by an Eventuri carbon fiber air intake with sports air filters, which optimizes airflow into the engine. Exhaust gases exit through dAHLer’s high-performance exhaust system, crafted from stainless steel and featuring bi-flap control for customizable sound—ranging from a subtle hum to a powerful roar. The system is completed with double tailpipes, available in 100 or 108 millimeters, finished in matte black ceramic coating.

The stage 2 upgrades adhere to WLTP and Euro 6d standards, ensuring full EU/CH homologation approval. This certification applies to all upgrades and combinations, including the carbon fiber air intake and exhaust system. Importantly, these approvals cover both the 8-speed automatic and 6-speed manual versions of the M2. Under the hood, the upgrades include carbon fiber engine covers and strut braces, adding a touch of visual flair.

Carbon Fiber Aesthetics

dAHLer’s enhancements extend beyond performance to the vehicle's exterior. The M2's front end now features a three-part carbon fiber front spoiler lip with side winglets, a carbon fiber grille with inserts, and carbon fiber air inlets in the bumper. For the rear, customers can choose between a prominent rear wing or a smaller spoiler, both complemented by a carbon fiber rear diffuser and mirror covers.

Custom Wheels and Suspension

Technically and aesthetically, dAHLer’s CDC2 Forged rims are tailored to BMW’s M models. The overlaid double-spoke and Y-spoke star design complement the M2’s aggressive styling. The showcased M2 sports CDC2 Forged rims in 9.5x21" front and 10.5x21" rear dimensions, with 275/25ZR21 tires on the front and 295/25R21 tires on the rear. A smaller 10x20" version is also available, featuring 275/30R20 tires front and 285/30R20 rear. These rims are offered in semi-gloss black, dAHLer Edition with part-polished fronts, or customized colors upon request.

dAHLer also provides a range of suspension upgrades. Their top-tier high-performance coilover suspension allows adjustments in height and stiffness, offering personalized setup for varying conditions. For those needing less customization, a set of sports springs is available, lowering the chassis by 28 millimeters. Additionally, adjustable struts for the front axles and tie rods for the rear axles are offered for extensive kinematic configurations.

Enhanced Braking and Interior Refinements

To match the enhanced performance, dAHLer upgrades the factory-fitted M Compound brake system with sports brake linings and Stahlflex brake lines, improving braking precision and performance. Inside, the featured M2 boasts one of the few manual transmissions, equipped with a short shifter for swift gear changes. The cockpit is further refined with a heated Alcantara sports steering wheel, custom programming, and premium foot mats emblazoned with “dAHLer Competition Line.”

In summary, dAHLer Competition Line's new upgrades for the BMW M2 transform an already impressive coupé into a powerhouse of performance and style, offering a comprehensive package that caters to both the enthusiast driver and the connoisseur of fine automotive design.
