This latest project vehicle, a collaboration with BMW and MINI dealership Karl & Co. in Mainz, showcases the cutting-edge enhancements available.
This factory-built hot hatch, equipped with the sporty JOHN COOPER WORKS trim, has been upgraded with distinctive alloy wheels from MTC. The MaxSpeed alloys, measuring 8.5x19 inches, deliver a powerful aesthetic, enhanced by Hankook Ventus S1 EVO3 tires sized 225/35R19. While the high-gloss black version is on display, these wheels come in various finishes tailored to customer preferences. For those who prefer a slightly smaller option, the 8x18 inch MaxWheel alloys, paired with 225/40R18 Hankook Ventus S1 EVO3 tires, offer dynamic performance. The MaxWheel features a satin gunmetal finish, a high-sheen outer ring on the front axle, and a sleek black centerlock design on the rear.
To improve handling, Maxi-Tuner.com lowered the chassis by approximately 30 mm with an in-house developed MTC sport spring set. For enthusiasts seeking an even more customizable experience, the MTC CONQUISTADOR coilover suspension is available in three variants: Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus. This system offers step-less height adjustment and twenty rebound damping settings, ensuring a setup that meets diverse driving preferences.
Under the hood, the MINI Cooper S (F66) comes standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Maxi-Tuner.com has elevated these figures to 235 hp and 360 Nm by installing the MaxPower control module. This plug-and-play enhancement reduces the 0-100 km/h sprint time from 6.6 seconds to a swift 6.0 seconds, backed by a comprehensive engine warranty. Additionally, a stainless steel MaxSound sport exhaust system is in development, set for release in late summer, to enhance the car's auditory appeal.
The exterior has not been overlooked. Maxi-Tuner.com added two custom Gurney flaps to the JOHN COOPER WORKS rear spoiler, enhancing both aerodynamics and visual impact.
All these tuning upgrades are also available for the Cooper C, the Cooper S’s smaller sibling. Performance enhancements for the 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engine of the Cooper C are currently in the works.
Maxi-Tuner.com thanks Marcus Krumm, Sales Director at Karl & Co. in Mainz, for his invaluable support in realizing this project.
