This 2002 Honda S2000 boasts widened fenders, Nine Lives Racing aerodynamic components, and revised front bodywork, enhancing the aesthetics. The car has a coilover suspension kit, Wilwood front brakes, and 17″ aftermarket wheels. These modifications are complemented by a body kit from renowned brands including a Voltex front bumper, Spoon Sports front fenders, ASM I.S. Design rear over-fenders, and a Seibon Carbon vented hood secured by flush-mount catch pins. The rear end is accentuated by a CQ Coatings custom diffuser, a Nine Lives Racing raised rear wing, and a front splitter.

Interior Upgrades

Inside has been outfitted with Sparco seats and Schroth harnesses, providing secure seating for both occupants. Additional safety features include a roll bar, custom LRB Performance door cards, a digital cluster, and a fuel cell. The audio system has been upgraded with Focal speakers and a touchscreen stereo. An electrical shutoff has been mounted on the rear bumper for added safety.

Performance Features

The heart of this track car is a 6.0-liter LS2 engine block, upgraded with high-performance components such as a Brian Tooley Racing “Stage 4” camshaft and LS3-spec ported and polished heads. The induction system includes a FAST 102mm throttle body and intake, and the exhaust system features long-tube headers and a straight-pipe configuration.

The T56 transmission connects to the Ford 8.8″ limited-slip rear end via an aluminum driveshaft, with Driveshaft Shop 1,000HP half shafts ensuring durability under high power loads. Recent maintenance includes the replacement of the rear main seal and installing a new twin-disk clutch kit.

Ownership and Condition

The seller, who has owned the car since 2008, reports adding approximately 50,000 miles during their ownership. This Honda S2000, originally painted in Sebring Silver Metallic, has had its front fenders and bumper cover refinished in 2024. Despite some wear, particularly with the top straps requiring replacement and the top needing assistance to raise and lower, the car remains in robust condition.

Unspecified damage was reported to Carfax in July 2010, but the vehicle has since been meticulously maintained and upgraded for optimal track performance. This AP1 S2000 is now available with spare parts and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

For enthusiasts looking to own this heavily modified track car, it is currently up for auction on Bring a Trailer. This 2002 Honda S2000 represents a unique blend of engineering and track-ready modifications, making it a standout option for those seeking high performance and distinctive style.
