Today, new Yenko models are still being produced, now under licence from General Marketing Capital. The cars are built by Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE), which has introduced the latest powerhouse: the 2024 Yenko/SC Corvette, boasting an impressive 1,000 horsepower.
Traditionally, the "SC" in Yenko/SC stood for "supercharged," but the 2024 Yenko/SC Corvette breaks from tradition with a twin-turbocharged version of the C8 Corvette's 6.2-liter V-8. Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) in Toms River, New Jersey, goes beyond simply adding turbos. They rebuild the engine with forged internals, ported cylinder heads, an enhanced valve train, a custom intercooled intake manifold, and high-flow fuel systems. The Corvette's 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is upgraded to handle the massive 1,000 horsepower.
SVE offers a variety of enhancements beyond the engine. Customers can choose from Yenko/SC body decals and a range of aerodynamic features, such as a new rear wing, side skirts, and front splitter.
The vehicle comes with custom forged wheels—19 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear—wrapped in Nitto summer tires. Although major brake modifications aren't included, SVE equips the car with custom Yenko-branded calipers. Inside, the Corvette features bespoke badging, custom floor mats, "sYc" logos embroidered on the headrests, and door sills with a "Yenko/SC" inscription.
Available in both coupe and convertible models, the production run is extremely limited, with only 10 units planned for 2024 and an additional 50 for 2025. Note that these modifications do not meet California's emissions standards.
A three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty covers the powertrain, but pricing information has not been disclosed yet. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
