The Valhalla is Aston Martin’s first mid-engined, series-production car and the brand’s first plug-in hybrid. At its heart is a re-engineered 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a flat-plane crankshaft. This powerhouse revs up to 7,000 RPM, generating 828 horsepower with help from turbochargers producing 3.0 bar of boost.
Complementing this beastly V8 is a cutting-edge hybrid system featuring a 560-cell high-performance battery and three electric motors, one integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and two driving the front axle. Together, they deliver an additional 251 horsepower and 632 lb-ft of torque. The result? A combined output of 1,079 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque.
Performance is equally jaw-dropping, with the Valhalla sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds and achieving a top speed of 217 mph. These figures make it one of the fastest Aston Martins, second only to the Valkyrie.
Next-Level Driving Dynamics
The new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, a first for Aston, introduces features like E-Boost for instantaneous power delivery and adaptive technologies that optimize performance. Drivers can switch between modes like Sport, Pure EV, Sport+, and Race, tailoring the car’s dynamics to any scenario.
In EV mode, the front electric motors provide nine miles of range and a top speed of 80 mph. Energy regeneration systems via braking and lift-off ensure the battery stays charged during spirited driving. Aston Martin’s innovative torque vectoring system also uses the front motor’s regenerative capabilities to enhance cornering agility.
Precision Engineering Meets Aerodynamic Mastery
The Valhalla’s chassis is engineered to handle its immense power. A carbon-fiber tub forms the car’s lightweight core, complemented by advanced suspension systems derived from Aston Martin’s Bilstein DTX technology. Aerodynamics are heavily influenced by Formula 1, delivering over 600 kg of downforce at 149 mph. Active aerodynamic elements, including a deployable rear T-Wing and front splitter, adapt dynamically to maximize speed and grip.
Bold Design and Luxury Interior
Visually, the Valhalla is a masterpiece, blending classic Aston Martin cues with exotic supercar aesthetics. Its dihedral doors channel airflow to improve cooling, while a functional roof snorkel enhances engine efficiency. Quad exhausts two mounted high and two integrated into the underbody add to its dramatic appearance.
Inside, the cabin draws inspiration from F1 with a raised footwell, squared-off steering wheel, and shift lights. Yet, luxury remains paramount. Aston Martin’s bespoke division, Q, offers extensive customization options, from exotic materials to tinted carbon finishes. A central touchscreen and “Amphitheatre line” design elements provide a futuristic yet refined interior ambiance.
The Ultimate Driver’s Supercar
According to Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark, the Valhalla is nothing less than the "ultimate driver’s supercar." Limited to just 999 units, it promises to be a defining model in the brand's storied history. First deliveries are expected in late 2025, but the online configurator is live now for those eager to dream or invest in this groundbreaking hybrid marvel.
