We haven't yet had the opportunity to test drive Ferrari's new 296 GTB, but with a combined 819bhp from a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 and a small electric motor, we don't expect it to be slow.
DMC, a German tuner, apparently believes that some buyers would want a little more, as it has already announced a tuning package that unlocks an incredible 888bhp.
The electric motor remains unaffected, but the V6 receives a new ECU and the turbo boost is increased slightly to add 69bhp.
Apparently, the time from 0 to 62 mph should be reduced from 2.9 to 2.8 seconds.
When it comes to supercar bragging rights, every tenth counts, right?
There's no news on top speed, but DMC will install a few carbon aero elements, including the huge rear wing and the fairly understated-looking side skirts.
