When it comes to Novitec, setting the bar high is an understatement. The last time we delved into the world of N-Largo, it was for the ultra-exclusive 812 N-Largo S, a model limited to just three units and unveiled around this time last year.

While the 812 N-Largo might have been criticized by some as pushing the limits of bearable sound, the 296 N-Largo strikes a different balance. It roars into the scene with an uprated twin-turbo V6, its exhaust gasses funneled through two bespoke 102mm tailpipes. Though it may not reach the deafening decibels of its predecessor, this car will still announce its arrival long before it appears. And trust us, you’ll see it coming.

In true N-Largo fashion, the 296 has undergone a substantial transformation. Its width is expanded by 6cm at the front and a whopping 12cm at the rear, courtesy of a Vittorio Strosek-designed body kit. As expected, the new components are crafted from carbon composite, including a reworked diffuser and a fixed rear wing though there’s an option for a Novitec ducktail spoiler if you prefer a different flair.

The car’s visual impact is further amplified by massive rear quarter panels and a set of new springs that lower the standard height by 35mm. The result? The 296 sits aggressively on an array of massive alloys, with Novitec recommending their custom-developed NF11 NL forged wheels by Vossen. These wheels accommodate 335/25 ZR 22 tires at the rear and 255/30 ZR 21s at the front.

Under the hood, Novitec has delicately enhanced the already formidable hybrid powertrain. With the addition of high-flow turbo inlets and 100-cell metal catalysts, the combined output climbs to 868hp, factoring in the new exhaust system. While a 38hp increase over the standard model may not seem earth-shattering, it’s important to remember that the 296 is already a sub-3-second-to-62mph supercar.

You won’t be left wanting for speed, and Novitec claims that their modifications have improved both downforce and stability a reassuring thought given the car’s increased capabilities.

However, the question of how much you’ll want to push these new limits remains. With only 15 examples of the 296 N-Largo set to be produced, exclusivity is a given. Novitec, known for its discretion around pricing, still hints that you can expect to add six figures to Ferrari’s already substantial price tag for the standard model. It’s a steep cost to stand out in a realm of supercars where rarity is already a given. But for those seeking to satisfy the N-Largo itch, short of investing seven figures in a truly wild restomod, there’s nothing quite like it on the market.
