In the world of supercars, few names resonate as powerfully as the Pagani Zonda. Despite its official successor, the Huayra, arriving in 2011 and the Huayra itself being replaced by the Utopia in 2022, the Zonda continues to captivate enthusiasts and refuses to fade into history.

Now, Pagani is poised to unveil a new and final Zonda, marking the 140th example ever built. This model, aptly named the "Arrivederci" Italian for "goodbye" is set to be the last brand-new Zonda to roll out of the Pagani workshop. However, even as this final chapter closes, rebuilds of existing Zonda chassis are expected to continue, ensuring the Zonda legacy lives on for years to come.

The Arrivederci will make its grand debut on August 16 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, one of the marquee events of the 2024 Monterey Car Week in California. U.S. car collector Kris Singh, a well-known figure in the automotive world, has revealed himself as the proud owner of this unique piece of automotive history.

While Pagani has yet to release official photos of the Arrivederci, earlier this year, Modena Design—a U.K. firm known for its high-quality computer-generated supercar renderings shared images of a Zonda labeled "Arrivederci." These images closely match the description Pagani has provided of the new car, suggesting that they may offer a preview of what to expect.

The Arrivederci is set to feature the iconic Zonda Roadster body, with panels crafted from a distinctive composite material that incorporates Alutex, giving it a striking silver finish. Blue and red accent stripes will add to the car’s visual appeal, while the interior will be dressed in red a nod to the interior of another of Singh’s prized possessions, the Pagani Huayra La Monza Lisa.

Pagani has been tight-lipped about the car's powertrain, but the Arrivederci will likely be equipped with the 760-specification 7.3-liter V-12 engine used in recent Zonda rebuilds. This powerhouse is capable of delivering an impressive 750 horsepower, ensuring that the Arrivederci will not only be a visual masterpiece but also a beast on the road.

The unveiling of the Arrivederci will mark the end of an era that began in 1999 with the debut of the first Zonda at the Geneva Motor Show. That inaugural model, the C12, played a crucial role in crash testing and homologation but was later meticulously restored by Pagani and presented in 2019 to celebrate the Zonda’s 20th anniversary.

As Monterey Car Week continues, culminating in the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 18, Pagani will also take the opportunity to debut the Utopia Roadster, which features a V-12 engine paired with a 7-speed manual transmission. However, for many, the spotlight will remain firmly on the Arrivederci the supercar that symbolizes the end of a legendary chapter in automotive history.
