Built on the foundation of the 992-generation Porsche 911, the RR1 is heavily inspired by the legendary Porsche 935, capturing the essence of Kremer Racing’s slant-nose monsters from the 1970s.
With only 50 units planned for production, this limited-edition machine is set to hit the streets by summer 2025.
A Design That Pays Homage to Racing Icons
When Rezvani Retro first revealed the RR1’s design in April 2024, enthusiasts were quick to offer feedback some of which has now shaped the final version. While the original prototype featured rectangular headlights borrowed from the Porsche Taycan, the final iteration embraces the classic round headlights, staying true to vintage 911 styling.
Beyond aesthetics, carbon fiber bodywork plays a key role in enhancing the RR1’s performance. The extensive use of lightweight materials helps shave off unnecessary weight, improving both agility and speed.
Rezvani Retro offers two potent powertrains, both designed to unleash serious performance:
- RR1 600 – Powered by a tuned twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six, this variant cranks out 600 horsepower and sends it straight to the rear wheels. Buyers can choose between a six-speed or seven-speed manual transmission, or opt for a dual-clutch automatic for faster shifts.
- RR1 750 – Stepping up to the 750-horsepower model brings a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six borrowed from the 911 Turbo S. This version comes exclusively with a dual-clutch automatic and all-wheel drive, ensuring maximum traction and blistering acceleration.
To cater to different driving preferences, Rezvani Retro offers two distinct suspension setups:
- A street-friendly configuration for daily usability.
- A track-focused setup featuring Öhlins TTX-PRO coil-overs for those who crave ultimate cornering precision.
Production of the Rezvani RR1 will take place at the company’s Irvine, California facility, with only 50 units available worldwide. While official pricing is still under wraps, the first five customers will get an exclusive introductory price of $149,000 not including the cost of the donor Porsche 911.
Deliveries are set to begin in summer 2025, and with such a low production run, expect these to sell out fast.
Final Thoughts
With its blend of retro styling, cutting-edge performance, and exclusivity, the Rezvani RR1 is shaping up to be a dream machine for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re drawn to its Porsche 935-inspired looks or its 750-horsepower thrill, this is one limited-run supercar that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
