Built on the foundation of a Porsche 911 Turbo S, this car blends the aggressive design of a Le Mans Hypercar with the practicality of a daily driver. It promises a driving experience like no other, delivering a blend of performance and usability that sets a new benchmark.

A 912-HP Powerhouse

The P39 is no ordinary 911 Turbo S. RML has enhanced the car's performance by fitting it with new turbos, intercoolers, manifolds, and catalytic converters. An upgraded ECU and a lightweight Inconel exhaust help the engine produce a jaw-dropping 912 horsepower at 7,300 rpm significantly more than the standard Turbo S's 650 hp at 6,750 rpm. Torque has also been boosted, with the P39 delivering 738 lb-ft at 4,500 rpm. Despite the power increase, the car retains the eight-speed PDK transmission and ceramic brakes of the stock model, ensuring smooth and reliable performance.

Enhanced Dynamics for Track and Road

RML's racing heritage shines through in the P39’s chassis and suspension upgrades. The car’s track has been widened by 100mm, and the wheelbase is longer, providing improved stability and handling. The body is crafted from carbon fiber, inspired by the latest Le Mans Hypercar designs, which not only improves aerodynamics but also reduces weight.

The P39 is equipped with a dual-mode suspension system, offering Tour and Track settings to adjust ride height and damping. This allows drivers to switch seamlessly between road comfort and track-focused performance. The active aerodynamics feature DRS (Drag Reduction System) for optimal downforce, generating up to 662 kg at 150 mph, and a staggering 923 kg at 177 mph. RML's simulations suggest that the P39 could clock a 6:45 lap time at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, potentially surpassing even the Porsche GT3 RS.

Aggressive Yet Elegant Design

Visually, the P39 40th Special Edition commands attention. Its design language borrows heavily from Le Mans Hypercars, combining functionality with aesthetic appeal. The carbon bodywork, coupled with the wider stance, gives it a menacing yet refined look. Standard paintwork is a striking Ruby Red, but customization options are likely available for those willing to pay the £495,000 starting price (plus taxes and a donor car).

Interior Fit for a Driver’s Car

Inside, RML has focused on creating a space that is both sporty and comfortable. The P39 features custom-embroidered sports seats, emphasizing the car’s dual nature as a track beast and a comfortable daily driver. However, the rear bench has been replaced by a half roll cage, ensuring safety for high-speed runs without sacrificing style.

Limited Production and Future Prospects

The P39 40th Special Edition is a celebration of RML's four decades of engineering excellence. CEO Michael Mallock describes the P39 as a car that "challenges everything that’s possible in this sector." Although official lap times are yet to be confirmed, the car is already in production at RML's headquarters in Wellingborough, UK, with a few build slots still available.

For enthusiasts looking for a Turbo S with the soul of a Le Mans racer, the P39 represents an exciting opportunity. While RML’s simulations are promising, only time will tell if the P39 lives up to its expectations on the track. For now, it's clear that RML has created a unique and thrilling addition to the world of high-performance sports cars.
